Troop 76G welcomes Scouts ages 11 to 17. Scouts may also join at age 10 if they are in the fifth grade and have either earned the Arrow of Light in Cub Scouting or are joining after March 1.
Our Troop follows the traditional Scout-led Patrol Method, where youth leadership is central. Older Scouts are elected by their peers to leadership positions, giving them the responsibility to plan meetings, organize outings, and mentor younger Scouts in Scouting skills and traditions.
Adult leaders—including the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters—serve in a supportive role, guiding and advising the youth as they set goals and explore new opportunities. All adult volunteers complete annual Youth Protection Training and additional outdoor and safety training as required by Scouting America. Two-deep leadership is strictly maintained at all times, including during online communication, to ensure a safe and positive environment for all Scouts.
We meet most Mondays during the school year at the historic Memorial Cabin, located at 600 Monument Avenue in Malvern, next to Paoli Battlefield Park.
Our Scouts come from a variety of public and private schools, and we understand that many are involved in a range of extracurriculars—from varsity and club sports to school clubs and other commitments. Active Scouts are encouraged to attend at least one meeting per month, with flexibility built in to accommodate their busy schedules.
